This board's backlight has no levels, and switching it on from dark drops the board's power so far that it restarts. So the screen stays lit, and has no brightness, standby, night or screensaver settings. An alert doesn't blink the backlight either. A community fix is a 470 µF capacitor on the 3V3 pins of the sensor connector; the firmware won't try it.

The board logs over its own USB port, without a separate serial chip.
