Navigation
How people get from one page to the next, and how the screen finds its way back.
Back to Home
On, the screen goes back to the Home page by itself after a while without a touch, closing an open card, the settings page or a camera view on the way. Default on, After 2 minutes. The time runs from 30 seconds to an hour.
It runs independently of standby and pauses while the screen is in standby. A Wake from Home Assistant doesn't count as a touch, so a screen that is woken on motion still returns home.
In Home Assistant the entities keep their older names, Back to page 1 and Back to page 1 after, so existing automations keep working.
Also on standby
On, the screen also goes back to the Home page the moment it dims. Off, standby still closes every card and the settings page, but leaves the page where it was, so the screen wakes on the same page. Default off.
Swipe between pages
On, a swipe turns the page. On every screen but the CYD and the Hosyond the swipe starts at the left or right edge, like going back on a phone; a swipe that starts in the middle does nothing, so a slider stays a slider. On the CYD and the Hosyond, whose touch panel is resistive, a quick swipe anywhere across the tiles turns the page. The edge lights for a moment when a swipe is taken. Default off.
This switch also governs the other two swipes: up from the bottom edge for Home, down from the top edge for the settings page. With it off, the home key, holding the top bar and a Settings tile still work.
Page buttons
The bar under the tiles on a screen with more than one page: a chevron in each half and a dot per page. Off, the bar goes and the tiles grow into its room; only swiping and Go to page tiles change the page. Tessera warns when that leaves a page without a way to reach it. Default on.
A screen with one page never shows the bar.
Show home button
The Tessera logo at the far left of the top bar, which takes the screen to the Home page from anywhere. Off, the page title starts at the margin. A single page can also hide it with Show a Home control on this page in its settings. Default on.
Rotation
Turns the picture. Every screen turns upside down, 180°; a square screen, such as the 4-inch Guition, also turns a quarter, 90° and 270°. Display and touch turn together. Default 0°.
Whether a screen hangs lying down or standing up is chosen when you add it, not here, because it changes the grid.
