I would like to have a calendar too because I am using the Waste Collection Schedule add-on that creates very handy calendar entries.

This would be useful. I've been thinking about this one as well. Especially on larger screens (10.1" and larger) this might become a replacement for "skylight" type planner boards, and a personal calendar for each user's own screen.

i agree, there are multiple use cases for this. As we can fill HA calendars via automations easily, or we could show users personal calendars, or family calendars in living room wall :)
UI could be similar to the HA's integrated one.
The component should be able to choose which HA calendar to show.

I have made a custom calandar card for my STR rental bookings I like how it displays times as part of the booking. I think a grid view like that and a schedule view would be good.
