A small step on this one. Since 0.2.95 there is an ESP32-P4 board in the firmware, the 10.1-inch Guition JC8012P4A1, so the P4 itself, its display over MIPI-DSI and its Wi-Fi over the companion chip all work now. And since 0.2.107 a board file is mostly just its hardware plus the cells of a page, so adding one is a much shorter job than it used to be:
docs/ADDING_A_BOARD.mdwalks through it.What is still missing is the panel itself. Nobody here has the ESP32-P4-86-Panel, and a board only goes in once someone has flashed it and looked at the glass. If you have one and fancy trying, we are glad to help you through it.

Sure. I have a few in my camper van and bought a spare just in case. I'll give it a go this week and report back.

Following up on the working Waveshare panel: the latest integration is in PR #163, building on the board support and optional audio in PR #142.
It adds optional physical-panel voice with local wake words, OpenAI/Claude support, audio settings and listening/processing indicators. The PR includes screenshots, installation instructions and test details.
Physical testing has been on one ESP32-P4-86-Panel-ETH-2RO / ESP32-P4-WIFI6-Touch-LCD-4B, revision 1.3, mainly using the OpenAI API. The latest status icons have also been checked on the panel. More hardware and Claude testing are still needed. Ethernet and relay configuration are outside this PR; audio and voice remain optional build choices.
Got a screen running? Tell others which board you have and what works on the Tessera website. It helps everyone pick a screen that works.
Want me to keep building? Consider supporting monthly or buying me a coffee, much appreciated!
