Add humidifiers to the library

What would you like to add

Currently it is not possible to display humidifier entities, which are used to control humidifiers, dehumidifiers and hygrostat.

How this relates to Home Assistant

The function to be able to adjust the humidifier settings would be very useful to me as I use a dehumifier entity to control a dehumidifier via a smart plug in the room where my clothes are drying.

Thanks for asking for this! Humidifiers and dehumidifiers are now tiles, in Tessera 0.4.69 (firmware 0.42.0).

A dehumidifier on a smart plug with Home Assistant's Generic hygrostat, like yours, works as it is:

  • The tile shows what it is doing and the humidity it measures, for example "Drying · 68%". It is blue while it is on and grey while it is off, with Home Assistant's own icons.
  • A tap opens its card: the power key, and the target humidity big in Home Assistant's ring between − and +. While it is drying, the ring shows how far the humidity still has to go.
  • If your hygrostat has away_humidity in its YAML, Home Assistant gives it the Normal and Away modes, and the card shows them as two keys.
  • On a double-width tile you can choose the humidity − / +, a slider, the mode keys or an on/off switch. A tile of two rows shows − / + with the modes under it, and a tap on its round icon turns it on or off.

Update the add-on, then update the screen's firmware from the add-on. In the editor's library you find it under the new Humidifiers filter.

I checked it with the firmware's own drawing on several screens, but not yet with a real dehumidifier. If something looks or works wrong with yours, please let me know here.

Got a screen running? Tell others which board you have and what works on the Tessera website. It helps everyone pick a screen that works.
