Go to page button functionality for entities
Hey, I just got the idea when tinkering with all the recent options to add a bit of flexibility. Right now the "go to page" is basically a dead tile with a single purpose.
It would be cool to use light groups (like livingroom, bedroom, kitchen...) as a light entity and have this option on the card:
That way you could turn on/off (single touch), dim the light group with a slider (drag on tile), open the group light settings with a long tap and control individual lights of the group when double tap (if possible), when it jumps into the living room page with individual lights.
It would also be nice to add double function to the clock or settings tile. Right now there is a bug that the settings button shows up as a clock in the preview and also has the clock options:
It would be cool to just add the clock and have the option to jump to a different screen (maybe active timer entity for the kitchen) or map the clock button to the screen settings, freeing up the UI and giving more flexibility in UI navigation.
Button card has some pretty nice options to map the actions, I think this would also benefit the overall functionality. Touching icons opens options or pages, the rest of the button turns a light on or off to the last state, dragging the slider dims the light. If double tap would be an option you could choose it would create even more flexibility.
What do you think? Is this something worth to look into? Keep up the great work :)

The bug you spotted is fixed in ESP Screen Manager 0.3.10: a Settings tile no longer shows up as a clock in the editor and no longer offers the clock options. It is now a plain tile of one cell, the way the screen itself draws it. Settings tiles you already placed look right in the preview too. Update the app to get it; the screens don't need new firmware for this.
On the bigger idea, one tile doing several things (tap to toggle, drag to dim, a long press for the details, a double tap to jump to a room page): I can see why it's appealing with light groups, but it is too complex for now and goes against some deliberate choices in the firmware. The screen keeps one clear action per tile and tells a tap from a swipe with care, so tiles never fire by accident, and stacking several gestures on one tile would undo that. So that's not something I'm going to build for now.

I understand the concern and design philosophy. Maybe something of an "advanced" mode could exist in the future. 😀
Maybe keeping it in line with default handling of Home Assistant of groups could be an idea. When opening "more info" of the group light entity, it will show the brightness, color and state of the group members.
These group entities could be shown on top or bottom of the brightness and color sliders, after the default long press, not interfering with other gestures.

@govido this was a really good idea, and one I turned out to miss myself, so it is built. It is in ESP Screen Manager 0.3.16 (screen firmware 0.3.9), which is out now.
It follows Home Assistant's own more-info for light groups, behind the long press you suggested, so no new gestures on the tile:
What each lamp can do comes from Home Assistant, so a group of mixed lamps shows every lamp as it is. It works on every board, from the 2.8-inch CYD to the 10-inch.
To get it: update the app, then press Update on each screen. With older firmware a light group tile works as before.
Thanks again for the idea and the screenshot, it made the design easy. Let me know how it works with your groups.

Works great 👍
Just one little detail missing, the main tile shows the actual color, but the group sliders don't.
I also found 2 little bugs, these 2 options can never be used or reclicked:

@govido thanks for testing it so thoroughly, and for the screenshots. All three points are fixed in ESP Screen Manager 0.4.0 (screen firmware 0.4.0), which is out now.
The tile panel now checks every choice it shows against the same rules the save uses, so an option that can't be saved for a tile is not offered at all. A test clicks every choice for many kinds of tiles, so a new option can't bring this back unnoticed.
To get it: update the app, then press Update on each screen for the lamp colours. The two editor fixes only need the app update.

Thanks @govido! This is better suited to a discussion than an issue, so I moved it here: https://github.com/MaxGramser/homeassistant_espscreen/discussions/109
Please continue the conversation there. I'm closing this issue to keep the tracker for bugs and concrete board requests.
