Provide pre-built Docker image for easy Synology/NAS deployment
First of all, thank you for this awesome project! It's exactly what I was looking for to manage my ESP screens with Home Assistant.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I'm trying to deploy this container on a Synology NAS using the built-in Container Manager. However, the current docker-compose.yml uses a Git URL in the build.context.
Synology's Container Manager does not include git in its build environment, which results in the following error:
unable to prepare context: unable to find 'git': exec: "git": executable file not found in $PATH
Manually cloning the repository via SSH works, but it makes the installation and future updates very cumbersome for NAS users, as we have to manually pull the code and rebuild the image every time.
Describe the solution you'd like Could you please publish a pre-built Docker image to Docker Hub or GitHub Container Registry (GHCR)?
If a ready-to-use image is available, the docker-compose.yml could simply use:
image: ghcr.io/maxgramser/homeassistant_espscreen:latest # or your Docker Hub username

Add a commentThanks for the clear report! Since release 0.3.22 GitHub builds a ready image for amd64 and arm64 on every change to main, thanks to #53 by @sriramsv. It is published as
ghcr.io/maxgramser/homeassistant_espscreen.The compose file now uses:
so Synology Container Manager no longer needs
git. Updating isdocker compose pullfollowed bydocker compose up -d, or the update button in Container Manager. To stay on one version, use a version number such as:0.3.22instead oflatest. docs/DOCKER.md has the rest.If anything doesn't work on your NAS, feel free to reopen this issue.
Got a screen running? Tell others which board you have and what works on the Tessera website. It helps everyone pick a screen that works.
Like my work? Consider buying me a coffee, much appreciated!
