ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-2

Support for the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-2, a 2-inch panel for small single-purpose screens (two to four switches by a door or on a kitchen counter).

It already runs Tessera as its own board file (waveshare2, from waveshare35, compact look), tested on real hardware: display, touch, both orientations, backlight dimming, ~202 KB heap free. A pull request to dev with the board file follows and will link back here.

Hardware testing

We often do not have this board ourselves. Community testing helps establish what actually works. A successful report is evidence for the maintainer to review, not an automatic compatibility claim.

Board details & configuration

Model: ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-2
Chip, RAM and flash: ESP32-S3R8, 8 MB octal PSRAM, 16 MB flash
Display and touch: 2.0", 240 x 320 IPS, ST7789T3 (SPI), CST816D capacitive touch (I2C, interrupt on GPIO46)
Already tried: Running with Tessera 0.4.89: first as a Waveshare 3.5 screen with an Override YAML, now as its own board file (waveshare2, from waveshare35, compact look). Display, colours, touch in all four corners, landscape and portrait and backlight dimming work. heap_free ~202 KB with a full layout. tools/check.sh --firmware --board waveshare2 passes (firmware 28 % of the app partition). A pull request to dev follows.
