Feature idea: Bluetooth HID keyboard support for Tessera
Hi everyone, First of all, thanks for creating Tessera! I really like the idea of using ESP32 touch displays as customizable control panels for Home Assistant. The idea would be to allow users to configure certain tiles not only to control Home Assistant entities, but also to send keyboard shortcuts or media key commands via Bluetooth to a Mac or PC. For example: Mute/unmute the microphone Mute speakers or control media playback Trigger keyboard shortcuts Execute predefined key combinations This would make a Tessera display a versatile control panel for both smart home automation and everyday computer use, without requiring any additional software running on the computer. Ideally, users could configure these actions directly in the Tessera interface, alongside their existing Home Assistant actions. For example, one page could control lights and blinds, while another provides media controls and keyboard shortcuts. Would this fit into Tessera's product vision? Is this something that could be considered for a future release, or would it require changes to the firmware architecture that are outside the project's intended scope? I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the technical feasibility and whether others would find this useful as well. Thanks!
